There is an increasing trend among the employers to check your credit score before deciding on you.

Do you have any idea why they are doing it?

They want to be sure the candidate they recruit is responsible in handling money in their own lives and they are expected to be like that in their career also. Good thinking right?

But if you are on the other side of the fence with not so good looking credit score, what do you do?

It's better to tell the truth upfront to the interviewer about your current financial status and tell them the steps you are taking to correct the situation.
