My take on this : Pay It Off. Unless it's a 0% APR balance

Hi,

You find a mistake in your credit report and do you know that you can raise a dispute on that?

When you dispute that, the credit bureau should investigate it and within 30 days. They are supposed to send it to the particular merchant and ask for clarification and if the merchant does not give a satisfactory reply, the wrong entry should be not only removed but also other credit buereas informed of this error and that should be removed from their reports as well.
