How To Protect Your Credit Score While Shopping...
Hi,
Say you are on the market for a car. You go to a dealership and they do a credit check. You go to a different dealer, he does a credit check again.
You go to yet another dealer after a week or so and he also does the credit check.
Finally when you are ready to go in for the buying, you are shocked to hear the dealer worried at your credit score which was considerably lower than when you started on the market.
So how do you avoid that?
For instance, when you check your credit report (which should be done once a year) to make sure everything is current and correct, make a copy of it and carry it with you when planning to make any major purchase involving credit within the next year! This should suffice until you make your final decision, and then the company you choose would probably need to verify the credit information you had on hand.
Cheers,
